Text
The department, by rule, may prescribe and provide for the payment and collection of
reasonable fees to issue licenses and registration certificates. The fees must be based on the
anticipated cost of filing and processing the application, of taking action on the requested
license or registration certificate, and of conducting an inspection program to determine
compliance or noncompliance with the license or registration certificate.
Any moneys collected for permit or registration fees must be deposited in the department's
operating fund in the state treasury and must be spent subject to appropriation by the legislative
