Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, the county commissioners of each
county may move graves or cremate the bodies in any graves which are located in the county
and maintained by the county when the gravesites are in imminent danger of destruction by
natural elements. The county commissioners shall, to the extent possible, give personal notice
to a relative of a deceased person whose grave is to be moved or whose body is to be cremated
if the identity of that person and the identity of the relative are known. The county
commissioners shall provide at least thirty days' prior notice in a legal newspaper of the county
of the commissioners' intended action to be taken pursuant to this section.
