regulated. The body of any individual whose death occurs in this state may not be interred, deposited in a vault or tomb, cremated, donated to a school of medicine, or otherwise disposed as authorized by law, until a final disposition-transit permit has been properly issued by a subregistrar. If the certificate is incorrect or incomplete, the subregistrar may not issue the permit until it is corrected or completed. In the case of any death outside of this state, a final disposition-transit permit issued in accordance with the law and the health regulations in force in the state where the death occurred, when accompanying a body shipped through or into this state, may be accepted with the same effect as a permit from a subregistrar.
