Text
When a death occurring in this state has not been registered within the time period specified in section 23-02.1-19, a record may be filed in accordance with regulations of the department of health and human services.
1.Such records must be registered subject to such evidentiary requirements as the
department of health and human services may by regulation prescribe to substantiate
the alleged facts of death.
2.Records of death registered one year or more after the date of occurrence must be
marked "delayed" and must show on their face the date of delayed registration.
