Text
1.The department of health and human services shall establish and administer a viral
hepatitis program with the goal of distributing to residents of the state who are at an
increased risk for exposure to viral hepatitis information that addresses the higher
incidence of hepatitis C exposure and infection among these populations, addresses
the dangers presented by the disease, and provides contacts for additional information
and referrals.
2.The department shall establish a list of classes of individuals by category that are at
increased risk for viral hepatitis exposure. The list must be consistent with
recommendations developed by the federal centers for disease control and prevention.
