Any elector may receive the assistance of any individual of the elector's choice, other than the elector's employer, officer or agent of the elector's union, a candidate running in that election, or a relative of a candidate as provided in subsection 2 of section 16.1-05-02, in marking the elector's ballot. If the elector requests the assistance of a member of the election board, the elector shall receive the assistance of both election judges in the marking of the elector's ballot. An individual assisting any elector in marking a ballot under this chapter may not give information regarding the ballot.
