The agricultural experiment station established in connection with the North Dakota state
university of agriculture and applied science must be operated under the direction of the state
board of higher education for the purpose of conducting experiments in agriculture according to
the provisions of section 1 of the Act of Congress approved March 2, 1887, entitled "An act to
establish agricultural experiment stations in connection with the colleges established in the
several states under the provisions of an act approved July 2, 1862, and of the acts
supplementary thereto".
