§ 11-20-03 — Assistants - Appointment - Qualifications
The county surveyor may appoint all chainmen, markers, and assistants required to make a
survey. When the survey is of lines and monuments in dispute between parties or is made by
order of the district court, the chainmen must be disinterested persons.
