Text
The county surveyor may appoint one or more deputies and may revoke any such
appointment at pleasure. An appointment or revocation shall be in writing, signed by the
surveyor, and filed with the recorder, unless the board of county commissioners designates a
different official. Each deputy shall take the constitutional oath of office and may perform any
duties imposed by law upon the county surveyor. The surveyor and the surveyor's sureties shall
be responsible for the faithful performance of the duties of the surveyor's office by any deputy.
