In a county adopting any form of county managership, the board of county commissioners,
in lieu of the appointment of a treasurer, may select and designate annually, by ordinance or
recorded resolution, some bank or trust company as an official treasury for the funds of the
county. Any bank or trust company serving as depository for county funds shall be subject to
such requirements as to security therefor and interest thereon as are provided by general
statutes for public depositories. All interest on moneys so deposited shall accrue to the benefit
of the county.
