When a covered person killed in the line of duty is honored at a memorial service, the agency who employed the covered person may, depending on availability of funds, pay the travel expenses, including lodging, for the spouse, children, and parents of the covered person to attend the memorial service. (2023-134, s. 39.28B(a).)
