§ 143-142 — Further duties of the Code Councils

(a)Recommended Statutory Changes. - It shall be the duty of the responsible Code Council to make a thorough and continuing study of the building laws of the State, including both the statutes enacted by the General Assembly and the rules and regulations adopted by State and local agencies. On the basis of such studies, the responsible Council shall from time to time recommend to the General Assembly desirable statutory changes to simplify and improve such laws.
(b)Recommend Changes in Enforcement Procedures. - It shall be the duty of the responsible Code Council to make a thorough and continuing study of the manner in which the building laws of the State are enforced by State, local, and private agencies.
