Text
(a)Purpose. - Future Teachers of North Carolina, hereinafter FTNC, is established to encourage high-achieving high school students with strong academic, interpersonal, and leadership skills to consider teaching as a career.
(b)Program. - FTNC shall be a selective, application-based symposium for high school juniors and seniors, offering a challenging introduction to teaching as a profession. FTNC courses shall provide instruction on pedagogy, ethics and professionalism, child development, successful teaching strategies and classroom management practices, effective lesson planning, assessment and intervention, and requirements of teacher licensure.
