§ 39-51-203 — Employment Defined

39-51-203 . Employment defined.

(1)"Employment", subject to other provisions of this section, means service by an individual, by a manager or member of a limited liability company treated as a corporation pursuant to 39-51-207 , or by an officer of a corporation, including service in interstate commerce, performed for wages or under any contract of hire, written or oral, express or implied.
(2)(a) The term "employment" includes an individual's entire service performed within or both within and outside this state if:
(i)the service is localized in this state; or
(ii)the service is not localized in any state but some of the service is performed in this state and:
(A)the base of operations or, if there is no base of operations, the place from which the service is directed or controlled i
