52-5-120 . Youth industries programs. The department of corrections may:
(1)establish youth industries programs in state correctional facilities that:
(a)assist in the training and rehabilitation of residents who are youth at correctional facilities; and
(b)provide the production or manufacture of products and the rendering of services that may be needed by:
(i)a department or agency of the state of Montana or a unit of local government;
(ii)an agency of the federal government; or
(iii)an office or agency of another state or a political subdivision of another state;
(2)contract with private industry for the sale of goods produced or manufactured at correctional facilities; and
(3)fix the purchase price for goods and services available under the industries program established in sub
