44-5-402 . Automated equipment. In an automated criminal justice information system, information shall be collected, processed, and preserved on a computer dedicated solely to criminal justice information, except that, if this is impractical, a central computer may be used if adequate safeguards are built into the criminal justice information system to prevent unauthorized inquiry, modification, or destruction of criminal justice information in conformity with the current federal regulations in 28 CFR section 20.21(f) or any amendment thereto.
