7-4-2924 . Indigent funeral assistance.

(1)(a) There is a special revenue account within the state special revenue fund established in 17-2-102 to aid counties in providing adequate burial, entombment, or cremation of an indigent person.
(b)There must be deposited in the account money received from donations to provide adequate burial, entombment, or cremation of an indigent person as defined in 53-3-116 (5).
(c)Money in the account is statutorily appropriated, as provided in 17-7-502 , to the department of administration and may only be used for those purposes provided in this section.
(2)(a) A county may request to receive funding from the special revenue account created in this section to provide assistance for the burial, entombment, or cremation of an indigent person regardless of
