44-4-1502 . Eligibility for benefit or service.

(1)A victim of human trafficking is eligible for a benefit or service available through the state, including compensation under Title 53, chapter 9, part 1, regardless of immigration status.
(2)A child who has engaged in commercial sexual activity is eligible for a benefit or service available through the state, including compensation under Title 53, chapter 9, part 1, regardless of immigration status or factors described in 53-9-125 .
(3)As soon as practicable after a first encounter with a person who reasonably appears to be a victim of human trafficking or a child who has engaged in commercial sexual activity, law enforcement shall notify the appropriate state agency that the person may be eligible for a benefit or service under the law
