37-33-601 . (Effective on occurrence of contingency) Enactment -- provisions. The interstate massage compact is enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions joining the compact in the form substantially as follows: The purpose of this compact is to reduce the burdens on state governments and to facilitate the interstate practice and regulation of massage therapy with the goal of improving public access to, and the safety of, massage therapy services. Through this compact, the member states seek to establish a regulatory framework that provides for a new multistate licensing program.
