7-32-4110 . Procedure for reinstatement on police force.

(1)An applicant for a position on the police force who has already served 20 years or more in the aggregate on the police force of the city or town to which the person is applying for reinstatement may make application within 1 year from the date on which the person's name was removed from the active list of police officers to the police commission of that city or town in which the person last served, and the application must be considered by the police commission within 30 days after receipt of the application.
(2)The commission may not require the applicant to have a physical examination or other examination required of applicants for a position on the police force. If the police commission recommends the reinstatement of the app
