7-3-161 . Organization of new governing body.

(1)The first meeting of a new governing body for a different form of government must be held at 10 a.m., 60 days after the election of the new officers. At that time, newly elected officers shall take the oath of office prior to assuming the duties of office.
(2)If the terms of the commissioners are to be overlapping, newly elected commissioners shall draw lots to establish their respective terms of office.
