69-3-329 . Immunity for witnesses.

(1)A person may not be excused from testifying or from producing books and papers in any proceedings based upon or growing out of any alleged violation of the provisions of this chapter on the ground of or for the reason that the testimony or evidence, documentary or otherwise, required of the person may tend to incriminate or subject the person to penalty or forfeiture. Except as provided in subsection (2), a person having testified may not be prosecuted or subjected to any penalty or forfeiture for or on account of any transaction, matter, or thing concerning which the person may have testified or produced any documentary evidence.
(2)A person testifying is not exempt from prosecution or punishment for perjury.
