§ 61-3-316 — New Registrations
Montana·Title 61 MOTOR VEHICLES·Ch. 3 CERTIFICATES OF TITLE, REGISTRATION, AND TAXATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES·Part 3 Registration
61-3-316 . New registrations. Except as provided in 61-3-311 , a motor vehicle that is registered for the first time in this state must be assigned a registration period corresponding to when the motor vehicle is first registered in this state. Except as permitted in 61-3-318 or 61-3-324 , the registration period for a motor vehicle must remain the same from year to year.
