7-2-2704 . Hearing on petition by county commissioners -- notice.

(1)Whenever any such petition is presented to the board of county commissioners of a county with a certificate of the election administrator attached thereto and showing that the petition has been signed by not less than 35% of the registered electors of the county whose names appear upon the registration records of the county, as provided in 7-2-2702 and 7-2-2703 , the board shall, immediately upon presentation of the petition, make and enter an order in its minutes fixing a day for considering and taking final action on the petition. The date for final action shall be not less than 30 or more than 35 days after the date when the order is made.
