7-2-2242 . Conduct of business by commission.

(1)The commissioners provided for in 7-2-2241 shall, within 10 days after the notice of the appointment, meet at the county seat of the new county and organize by electing from their number a presiding officer and also by electing a secretary, who may not be a member of the commission. Thereafter, the commission may meet at a place that it may select. A majority of the commissioners constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business.
(2)(a) The commission may compel by citation or subpoena, signed by its presiding officer and secretary, the attendance of persons and the production of books and papers before the commission that may be required in the performance of the duties imposed by this part, except that the official records of any coun
