7-2-2209 . Hearing and notice on petition.

(1)Upon the filing of the petition and affidavit with the clerk of the board of county commissioners, the clerk shall fix a date to hear the petition and any opponents to the petition. The date must be not later than 30 days after the filing of the petition with the clerk of the board.
(2)The county clerk shall also publish a notice as provided in 7-1-2121 in the old counties and also within the boundaries of the proposed new county. The notice must be published in substantially the following form: Notice is hereby given that a petition has been presented to the board of county commissioners of .... County (naming the county represented by the board of county commissioners with which the petition was filed), requesting the formation of a new cou
