23-2-507 . Penalty.

(1)Violations of any section of this part, except 23-2-526 (3), unless otherwise specified, are a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $15 or more than $500 or by imprisonment for a term up to 6 months, or both. All fine and bond forfeitures, except those paid to a justice's court, must be transmitted to the department of revenue for deposit in the general fund.
(2)If 23-2-525 (4) is violated, 46-18-241 through 46-18-249 apply, except that the sentencing court shall order restitution and shall do so regardless of the court's disposition of the violator.
