7-14-4108 . Authority to contract for road work when federal funds involved. Whenever highway construction work is to be financed in whole or in part by federal funds, the council, commission, or other governing body of any city or town may contract jointly or independently with the department of transportation, United States federal highway administration, or other federal agency for the construction or reconstruction of highways, roads, and streets, to acquire rights-of-way, and to do any other thing essential and practical in securing the highway, road, and street construction or reconstruction or rights-of-way as may be agreed upon between the council, commission, or other governing body and the department of transportation or federal agency.
