§ 35-14-124 — Correcting Filed Document

35-14-124 . Correcting filed document.
(1)A document filed by the secretary of state pursuant to this chapter may be corrected if:
(a)the document contains an inaccuracy;
(b)the document was defectively signed, attested, sealed, verified, or acknowledged; or
(c)the electronic transmission was defective.
(2)A document is corrected:
(a)by preparing articles of correction that:
(i)describe the document, including its filing date, or attach a copy of it to the articles of correction;
(ii)specify the inaccuracy or defect to be corrected; and
(iii)correct the inaccuracy or defect; and
(b)by delivering the articles of correction to the secretary of state for filing.
(3)Articles of correction are effective on the effective date of the document they correct except as to persons relying o
