33-10-218 . Examination by commissioner -- cost.

(1)The commissioner may conduct the examination requested by the board pursuant to 33-10-217 (4). The examination may be conducted as a national association of insurance commissioners examination or may be conducted by persons whom the commissioner designates. The cost of the examination must be paid by the association, and the examination report must be treated as are other examination reports.
(2)The examination report may not be released to the board of directors of the association prior to its release to the public, but this may not excuse the commissioner from the obligation to comply with subsection (4). The commissioner shall notify the board of directors when the examination is completed.
