90-1-168 . Certified local governments.
(1)Counties, consolidated governments, and municipalities may participate in the Montana-certified local government program administered by the Montana historical society pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, 16 U.S.C. 470 through 470w-6.
(2)A county, consolidated government, or municipality that became a certified local government, as described in subsection (1), prior to July 1, 2007, may participate in the program.
