§ 76-1-408 — Acceptance And Administration Of Gifts And Donations

76-1-408 . Acceptance and administration of gifts and donations.

(1)A city, county, or city-county planning board organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter is hereby empowered and given the right to:
(a)accept, receive, take, hold, own, and possess any gift, donation, grant, devise, or bequest or any property (real, personal, or mixed) or any improved or unimproved park or playground; and
(b)utilize, hold, or dispose of the same for planning purposes not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter.
(2)Any money so accepted shall be deposited with the city or county in a special nonreverting planning board fund to be available for expenditures by the planning board for the purpose designated by the donor. The disbursing officer of a city or county shall draw warrants aga
