Text

1.  The authority created pursuant to section 99.1006 shall constitute a public body corporate and politic, exercising public and essential governmental functions. 2.  A municipality or an authority created pursuant to section 99.1006 shall have all the powers necessary or convenient to carry out and effectuate the purposes and provisions of sections 99.1000 to 99.1060 , including the following powers in addition to others granted pursuant to sections 99.1000 to 99.1060 :

(1)To prepare or cause to be prepared and approve development plans and development projects to be considered at public hearings in accordance with sections 99.1000 to 99.1060 and to undertake and carry out development plans and development projects which have been adopted by ordinance;
