Text

1.The board shall be the trustees of the funds of the system. Subject to the provisions of any applicable federal or state laws, the board shall have full power to invest and reinvest the moneys of the system, and to hold, purchase, sell, assign, transfer or dispose of any of the securities and investments in which such moneys shall have been invested, as well as the proceeds of such investments and such moneys.
2.The board of trustees may deliberate about, or make tentative or final decisions on, investments or other financial matters in a closed meeting under chapter 610 if disclosure of the deliberations or decisions would jeopardize the ability to implement a decision or to achieve investment objectives.  A record of the retirement system that discloses deliberations about, or a t
