There is created in the executive department a "Tourism Commission * " composed of ten members, including the lieutenant governor, two members of the senate of different political parties appointed by the president pro tem of the senate, two members of the house of representatives of different political parties appointed by the speaker of the house, and five other persons appointed by the governor. The members appointed by the governor may include, but are not limited to, persons engaged in the tourism industry and no more than three shall be of the same political party. The members, at the time of their appointment, shall be residents of the state of Missouri.
