1.Any person or persons claiming an estate or interest in any lands or real estate in this state, and whose deeds, mortgages, or other written evidence of title or interest, or the record thereof, have been lost or destroyed, may apply by petition to the circuit court of the county in which the land or any part thereof lies, or the record was destroyed, setting forth in said petition a description of said lands, the nature and extent of his, her or their interest or estate therein, and a description of his or her or their deeds, mortgages or other evidence of title, and give the date and contents of said deeds, mortgages or other written evidence of title, and the name or names of the person or persons who executed the same, and the interest therein conveyed to the said claimant, as full
