Text

Before payment of any compensatory damages awarded to an offender in connection with a civil action brought against any correctional facility or against any official or agent of such correctional facility, the attorney general shall make reasonable efforts to notify the victims of the crime for which the offender was convicted and incarcerated concerning the pending payment of any such compensatory damages.
