Text

1.  Within ten days after the change of a notary's residence, business, or mailing address, the notary shall send to the secretary by any means providing a tangible receipt, including certified mail and electronic transmission, a signed notice of the change, giving both old and new addresses, along with a fee of five dollars. 2.  If the address of the regular place of work or business is changed, the notary shall not perform a notarial act until:

(1)The notice described in subsection 1 of this section has been delivered or transmitted;
(2)A confirmation of the notary's name or address change has been received from the secretary; and
(3)The surety for the notary's bond has been informed in writing.
