Text

Every railroad company taking subscriptions under this chapter shall keep in its principal office in this state, open to inspection, a correct record of all such certificates of stock issued by them or their assignor or predecessor, showing the number, date, and to whom issued, and when cancelled; and it shall be the duty of the county clerk, upon production by such company of any such cancelled certificate, to note the fact and date of such cancellation in his office.
