Text

1.When any company, which has on deposit the securities named in section 376.170 with the director of the department of commerce and insurance, shall desire to relinquish and cease its business in this state, said director shall, upon application of such company, under the oath of the president or vice president and secretary or assistant secretary, give notice of such intention in any newspaper of general circulation published in the county or city in which said company is located, if it is a company of this state, or in some newspaper published in the city of St. Louis, if it is a company of another state or government, at least twice a week for six weeks.
