Text

1.No bank or trust company organized under the laws of this state shall settle any check drawn on it otherwise than at par.  The provision of this section shall not apply with respect to settlement of a check sent to a bank or trust company as a special collection item.
2.Any officer or employee of any bank or trust company who violates the provisions of subsection 1 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.  For purposes of this section, the settling of each check in violation of subsection 1 shall be deemed a separate offense.
