1.An original certification as a state-certified real estate appraiser may be issued to any person who meets the qualification requirements for certification and who has achieved a passing grade on a written examination which is consistent with and equivalent to the uniform state certification examination issued or endorsed by the appraiser qualifications board of the appraisal foundation and the commission.
