The board, in addition to any other duties it may have regarding licensure of nurses, shall collect, at the time of any initial license application or license renewal application, a nursing education incentive program surcharge from each person licensed or relicensed under this chapter, in the amount of one dollar per year for practical nurses and five dollars per year for registered professional nurses.  These funds shall be deposited in the state board of nursing fund described in section 335.036 .
