Text

A certificate of ownership for a motor vehicle or trailer issued in the name of only one person, on application of that person and payment of the fee required for an original certificate of ownership, may be surrendered to and a new certificate issued by the director of revenue in the name of that person and one or more other persons; and the current valid certificate of number shall be so transferred into the names of the owners shown on the new certificate.
