When any flues or other apparatus are used in any such process or manufacture or labor referred to in section 292.310 , and when such flues or other apparatus are being cleaned or emptied, the employer shall in every case provide and maintain a sufficient, adequate and efficient means or device, such as canvas bags or other approved device, or by dampening the dust, or some other efficient method for catching and collecting the dust and preventing it from unreasonably fouling or polluting the air in which the employees are obliged to work, and, wherever practicable, the dust occasioned in any process or manufacture referred to in section 292.310 , and in any polishing or finishing therein, shall be dampened or wet down or covered, and every reasonable precaution shall be adopted by the emp
