Text
1.The commission may by commission minute preliminarily approve the project if the commission determines the project will improve and is a needed addition to the state transportation system.
2.After a project has been preliminarily approved by the commission pursuant to subsection 1 of this section, the commission shall submit the proposed project to the joint committee on transportation oversight, as established in section 21.795 , for final approval. The joint committee shall approve such project submission by a majority vote.
3.Any private partner who has had a project request disapproved by the joint committee on transportation oversight may, within fifteen days of the committee's disapproval, request a hearing before the committee to review the committee's determination. Suc
