The portion of Interstate 49 from the city of Pineville in McDonald County north to the intersection of Interstate 435 in Jackson County, except for those portions of Interstate 49 previously designated as of August 28, 2016, shall be designated the "Purple Heart Trail".  Costs for such designation shall be paid by private donations.
