Text
1.Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law to the contrary, the director may acquire from or lease one or more buildings or portions of buildings on the grounds of any correctional center, together with the real estate needed for reasonable access to and egress from the leased building, for a term to be decided upon by the director and the lessee, to a private individual, firm, corporation, or other lawful entity for the purpose of establishing and operating a plasmapheresis program.
2.Subject to the approval by the director, any corporation operating a plasmapheresis program under this section may employ and discharge from such employment selected offenders of the correctional center where it operates.
