Text

Any city in this state now or hereafter containing a population of three hundred thousand or more, and less than six hundred thousand inhabitants according to the now or then last preceding United States census may, for the purpose of sections 214.210 to 214.230 by ordinance accept or take over by gift or donation any land within said city used for cemetery purposes, with or without adjoining or connected land, of any cemetery corporation or of any unincorporated cemetery association; or may likewise acquire, accept and take over by gift or donation a majority of the shares of the members of any said cemetery corporation or association holding, or having lands so used, sufficient and in manner to give such city a majority control of such corporation or association and, through it, control
