Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any child who is placed in a not-for-profit residential group facility for children by the juvenile court shall be eligible for medical assistance benefits pursuant to the provisions of section 208.152 .  In addition, any child who is placed in a not-for-profit residential group facility for children by the parent, and who is currently receiving benefits pursuant to the provisions of section 208.152 , shall continue to receive benefits while in the group home.  The eligibility and provisions of this section shall begin on the date of placement of the child in the residential group facility and shall terminate on the date the child is removed from such placement.
